No car gas cylinder can be retrofitted with high-octane fuel, and cars designed to use high-octane fuel are required to use regular unleaded gasoline (ie 94%), which will cause problems. LPG is stored in liquid form because it is denser than gas 250 times lower, so it needs less space. Many manufacturers, including Renault, Citroen and Vauxhall, buy LPG vehicles directly from dealers as part of the series.
